Old wedding band re-created into a stunning pendant
We want to take the time to let the Downtown Grid readers/users know about the quality craftmanship at AK Jewelers. In the short time my wife has been wearing her new pendant, crafted from her old wedding band by Phillip, she has received many compliments! It is a very special rememberance of the ring she proudly wore for 28 yesrs. We are both so happy we found AK Jewelers. You are one in a million!
excellent work and service
I received a diamond ring for my engagement over 5 years ago. It was a stone that has been in my husband's family for several generations. Up until recently, I didn't feel comfortable wearing it because I'm pretty casual and have never really worn much jewelry other than my simple wedding band.
At the start of this year I decided to find a jeweler to try and find the right band to fit that diamond. AK Jeweler was the perfect match. They were very creative in helping me find a band that complimented the diamond, as well as my wedding ring. Sophia found the band and Philip did a custom setting for the diamond. They were extremely helpful and worked well within our budget. I had my new ring in less than a week!
I have since been inspired to take in other jewelry that my mom has passed onto me over the years. AK Jeweler made numerous repairs at very affordable rates and they always polish everything, making it look so beautiful. I’m very happy to have found them. They are family owned and operated and take great pride in their excellent work and service.

AK is our neighborhood jewelry store. I've had two wonderful experiences with them. First, my wife and I purchaced our wedding bands from them under the guidance of Sophia and company. We've received many compliments on our rings and I always proudly say where I got them from. My wife's ring was custom in pink gold :).
Sophia also worked with me on Christmas and anniversary gifts. My wife cried when she opened them in happiness. AK comes through again!
I'll be headed back there for Mother's Day. They have wonderful ideas in very reasonable price ranges.

If you didn’t already know about AK Jewelers, you might not know where they are located. Tucked away in Arden Town Center, they have been a family operation for over 33 years: They know what they are doing! We love their service, their work, their charm. They can do it all from repairing a vintage bracelet, servicing your watch (batteries) to customizing an elegant diamond necklace with matching earrings.

This is a wonderful jewelry store...I spoke with Phillip about creating a pendant that was unique for my 15th anniversary...He listened and was patient, informative, creative and affordable. When I went to pick up my one of a kind "Mokume" pendant I was in awe. The piece of jewelry he had created was exactly what I had envisioned. I will continue to purchase my jewelry from Ak...Phillip you are the best!
